I dare not look at a calendar to see how long it’s been since I last put out a newsletter! Summer has a way of doing that this me every year, sweeping me up in the sun and the music and the plethora of summer activities! Summer is such a yang season, particularly in Minnesota where we only have it for such a short time, and it’s hard to find downtime to settle and go inward. Perhaps that’s why I’ve picked up crocheting this summer? A way of self-managing and keeping me in one place for periods of time. Check this out, I made Max a sweater! :) I’m currently working on a version of this for Lucy, but with a tutu! ;)

In addition, I am waist-deep in the writing of my second book, with the working title: In Times of Crisis: Regenerating the Individual Soul and the Collective Heart. I’m officially in the SFD (shitty first draft) stage, but really loving this opportunity to write something that encompasses the collective situation we are currently in, and the multitude of crises that seem to be snowballing (a metaphor best saved for winter?) toward us. I’ll be sharing more about this upcoming title as the months go on.

In addition, I’m juggling many moving parts with my family, as my oldest daughter plans a move to Southern California this fall, and my youngest is a rising senior at Boston University. My arms (and my heart!) will be stretched to the max! But we all got to be together over my birthday and Father’s Day (same day this year!), and I am so excited for them both on their journeys.

And, finally, I’ve been busy writing regularly for Spirituality & Health Magazine. In addition to articles, I’ve been writing quizzes for them.
