Please listen to an urban mom's hopes for her children
My article got published in the Star Tribune today!
A few weeks ago, I saw a call for New Voices in the Star Tribune.
I thought about submitting, then decided against it. Then, as these things often do, the idea wouldn’t leave me alone, like a dog tugging on a leash for a walk.
So, I sat down to write this article, submitted it, and then got the exciting news that it would be published on the Sunday after Thanksgiving—online and IN PRINT!
I’m wisely steering clear of the comments, as I’m not expecting I’ve changed any minds in our deeply divided political climate. But—as is generally my goal, I hope I’ve given people something to think about.
Here is the link to read the article.
On another note, as you’ve likely noticed, I’ve switched platforms for this newsletter. It’s still the Power Source, still just from me, but I got bored and wanted to try Substack!
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend! Onward to December!
Keri
keri... i am atleast as glad as you, if not more, on the article being published.
but i am less surprised than you, and much lesser... satisfied(?).
i say that because i feel what and how you write - both - is much, much needed by us and our world.
