A Story a Day Keeps the (Menopause) Stigma Away
Less than one month until I take the TEDxMinneapolis stage!

In just a few weeks, I’ll be taking the stage at TEDxMinneapolis to share an important talk.
It’s about menopause as a rite of passage.
What do I mean by that?
I mean that menopause is not just a series of physical symptoms. It’s an initiation. A sacred one.
Why we women continue to endure this passage in silence, as if saying the word menopause in public three times will unleash a demon (well, maybe it will.)
Menopause, menopause, menopause. There. Nothing happened (yet).
Seriously, it’s time to bring menopause into its rightful place as a right of passage into elderhood. TRUE elderhood, the kind that ancient civilizations and many indigenous societies today benefit from every single day.
THAT kind of elderhood.
On the evening of August 13th, 2025, I will be speaking along with be six other speakers on various topics. There will also be live entertainment and intermission refreshments — an inspiring evening out!
If you are in the Twin Cities area, I would love to see you there. 💛
If you’re not, you’ll have to wait for the video to come out!
But until then, I’ll be sharing more here and on my socials…especially on Instagram, where I’ll be sharing a short tidbit each day until the evening of the event, including:
💬 Stories,
❓ FAQs,
🌀 Reframes and reflections to help shift the menopause conversation.
